Gautam College of Pharmacy, Hamirpur (H.P.) organized a Guest Lecture on the occasion of Ayurveda Day on 23 September 2026. The programme was conducted in an online mode with the theme “Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow.”

The session featured Dr. Priya Darshani, Pharmacognosist, SDM College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan, Karnataka, India, as the Guest Speaker. Dr. Priya Darshani shared valuable insights into the principles, applications, and contemporary relevance of Ayurveda, highlighting the importance of traditional knowledge and natural approaches in promoting health and wellness.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, Director-cum-Principal, Gautam College of Pharmacy, who welcomed the guest speaker, faculty members, and students and emphasized the importance of integrating traditional systems of medicine with contemporary pharmaceutical education.

The lecture was attended by faculty members and students of Gautam College of Pharmacy. Students actively participated in the session and benefited from the expert insights shared by the guest speaker. The lecture enhanced their understanding of Ayurveda, medicinal plants, traditional healthcare practices, and the relevance of Ayurvedic knowledge in modern healthcare.

The session provided an enriching academic platform for students and faculty members to interact with an expert in the field and gain a broader perspective on the role of traditional medicinal knowledge in promoting a healthier society.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Darsh Gautam, Head of Department, Gautam College of Pharmacy, who expressed gratitude to the guest speaker for her valuable time and insightful lecture and appreciated the participation of faculty members and students.

Gautam College of Pharmacy successfully organized its Sports Meet 2026 on 29 August 2026, providing students with an enthusiastic platform to showcase their sporting talent, competitive spirit and teamwork.

The event witnessed active participation of students in a variety of indoor and outdoor sporting activities. The Sports Meet was aimed at promoting physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship and overall wellbeing among students, reinforcing the college’s commitment to holistic education and student development.
